1,000 lambs and 200 hoggets are catalogued for the Mayo Mule & Greyface Group’s second sale of the year, which takes place at Aurivo Mart, Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, next Monday evening, September 11th, 2023.
The group held its premier sales two weeks ago and the sales have been branded as a “huge” success, with a 100% clearance across the board on both days.
Hoggets and lambs went to 22 counties over the two days, with all stock purchased delivered to their new homes within 48 hours of sale day.
Speaking ahead of next week’s sale, a spokesperson for the group told www.thatsfarming.com:
“The lambs on the day will suit all types of farmers, from lambs that will be fit to breed this season to lambs that will be ran over as hoggets for next season.”
“The Mayo Mule ewe has become extremely popular over the years.”
“This is due to their great prolificacy, mothering ability hardiness, ease of care, and their ability to produce quality lambs at a fast rate.”

Bidding and delivery
Nationwide delivery of stock purchased at the sale on Monday can be arranged if required to any part of the country.
Sale commences at 6.00 pm sharp with viewing from 4.00 pm.
