Tops of €4.43/kg at Kilrush’s weanling show & sale

Kilrush Mart’s weanling show and sale, held on Wednesday, September 13^th, 2023, saw a 10% reduction in numbers on last year, but nevertheless, trade was described as “solid”.

A spokesperson for the mart reported to www.thatsfarming.com, that “very strong” demand prevailed for quality weanlings, a trade driven by farmer and shipper activity.

The spokesperson commented that “shippers were very active for the top quality lots” with price to €4.43/kg in the weanling bull ring and heifers to €3.32/kg.
