Farming News/Mart Reports on That’s Farming – Kilfenora Mart – Weanling Bull Show & Sale – 11-09-2023 – Cattle Prices
According to a spokesperson for Kilfenora, some “super prices were achieved” at its annual show and sale of bull weanlings on Monday, September 11th, 2023, writes farming journalist, Catherina Cunnane.
The spokesperson noted that “the sale attracted a super yard of entries, which saw an average price per head up €100 on the same day last year and the average weight back 10kgs this year”.
“At the sale, the €4.00/kg mark was broken on a number of occasions and bulls averaged €3.54/kg. Mostly Charolais and Charolais-cross weanlings were available for sale,” the spokesperson added.
