€65k 1-bed bungalow in need of ‘total’ refurbishment

A 1-bed bungalow in Co Galway is one of the only properties on the market in Ireland at present with a guide price below €100,000.

Farrell Auctioneers Valuers & Estate Agents Ltd is overseeing the sale of the G BER-rated detached residence in Criminagh, Lettermore.

The cottage, which sits on 0.15ha, has a septic tank and well on-site.

According to the firm’s Colm Farrell, the cottage requires “total refurbishment but offers the purchaser huge potential to develop the property to a fantastic home”.

The cottage is in a “fantastic, scenic area in a rugged and un-spoilt part of beautiful Connemara, yet within commuting distance of Galway city”.

According to the selling agent, it is approximately 2km from Lettermore, 2.5km from the local post office, 20km from Spiddal and 40km from Galway City.

Farrell said that the Galway bungalow – which he is seeking €65,000 for – offers “huge” potential to the new owners.

6-bed ‘ideal family home’ for just under €350k

Meanwhile, joint selling agents are seeking €344,950 for a “well-presented, spacious” C1 BER-rated 6-bed bungalow in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

Sherry FitzGerald Davitt & Davitt and James L Murtagh Auctioneers are overseeing the property’s sale.

The “bright and spacious ideal family home” sits on a 1.21ac site.

In summary, accommodation includes:
