Just over 600 entries passed through the ring at Ennis Mart on Tuesday (November 10th), according to a spokesperson.
“Trade holding in all categories of stock and quality suckler stock were in high demand. Farmers were very active for weanlings in the 260kg to 380kg bracket. Some shipping activity for bulls also.”
Calves were in “good demand” and made to €420, while runner heifers climbed to €760 and bulls to €840. Pairs in the suckler ring topped out at €2,410 and in-calf stock peaked at €1,830.
