Prices from €90 to €2,400 in Ennis

 Ennis Mart – Cattle Prices – 13-06-2023

According to a spokesperson for Ennis Mart, a “bigger than expected” entry of calves came under the hammer on Tuesday, while weanling numbers were “back nicely”.

An “exceptionally strong” trade prevailed in both weanling rings as shippers were “extremely active” in the bull ring. Heifers hit a high of €4.94/kg, and bulls topped at €4.50/kg at Tuesday’s sale.

Meanwhile, calves peaked at €450 for one-month-old LM heifer calf.

Quite a number of Aberdeen Angus calves were on offer, while a small entry of suckling stock made to €2,400 for pairs.
