Ennis Mart – cattle prices – 27-07-2021  

According to a spokesperson, just over 300 lots were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, July 27^th, 2021.

They noted that the sale attracted more bulls than the previous week and fewer heifers.

“Heifers were a similar trade on the week. Bulls met a very good trade and most of the bulls were 350kgs plus.”

“More calves available and Aberdeen-Angus entries made to €380 for a 6-week-old-bull. All calves were sold.”

“Pairs in the suckler ring hit €1,810. A nice in-calf Limousin heifer about three weeks from calving in-calf to a Limousin bull hit €1,910,” the spokesperson added.

Ennis Mart report – cattle prices – 20-07-2021

According to a spokesperson, over 300 lots were on offer at Ennis Mart on Tuesday, July 20^th, 2021.

The spokesperson reported that a small entry of calves sold to €555 – a price that was paid for a 5-week-old Charolais bull calf.

“Trade was strong both for the bulls and heifers with more farmers about, replacing stock. Again, a small entry of suckler stock and €1,580 was the highest achieved for a pair,” the spokesperson added.
