John Doyle of Blessington Mart is hanging up his boots, after forty-six years of service.
In a post on social media, the mart, which has been serving the local and wider farming community since the 1950s, said: “A moment in history when John Doyle, Kilbaylet, took his last walk down the yard.”
“After 46 years of dedicated service to JP&M Doyle, we would like to wish John every good wish in his retirement.”
“John, thanks for all the help and kindness. A true gentleman. Good health to you in the future.” one user wrote.
“The place won’t be the same without you John. Best of luck and enjoy your retirement.” another said.
“Enjoy your retirement, John. You were always there to give a hand – a true gent, you will be missed”, while another said: “The place won’t be the same without him.”
