Dowra Mart – sheep prices – 03-09-2021

According to a spokesperson, categories met with an easier trade at Dowra Mart on Saturday, September 3^rd, 2021.

They reported that “trade, in general, was quieter” as another “large” entry went under the hammer.

“Factory lambs were back by €2-€3/head. Store lambs were also an easier trade this week.”

“However, the quality of stores on offers were also less while cull ewes and breeding hoggets were also a shade easier,” they added.

Sheep prices at Dowra Mart: 31-08-2021:

The Cavan-based mart held a special sale of ewe lambs on Tuesday, August 31^st, 2021.

The spokesperson reported that “the top 500 lambs in the yard made from €130 to a top price of €190 for the 1st prize-winners in the Brockey class.”

“Meanwhile, a large proportion of the lighter lambs traded from €100 to €130. The very light ewe lambs made from €80 to €100,” the spokesperson added.
