Donegal Pedigree Wicklow Cheviot Breeders to host sale at Ballybofey and Stranorlar Mart this week

The Donegal Pedigree Wicklow Cheviot Breeders will host their annual premier pedigree Wicklow Cheviot sale in Ballybofey and Stranorlar Mart this Wednesday, September 27th, 2023, at 7 pm with viewing from 5 pm.

The show will take place at 5.30 pm where the top pens of cheviot rams, hoggets and ewe lambs will be selected by the pre-sale judge.

The sale comprises 65 SIS-approved pedigree Cheviot rams, according to a spokesperson for the group.

A spokesperson for the group told Catherina Cunnane of www.thatsfarming.com:

“The rams are eligible for the sheep scheme and have been genotyped and verified.”

“There is a strong selection of pedigree Cheviot hoggets and ewe lambs also on offer at the sale.”
