A Co. Cork-based dairy farm, with “modern, clean” facilities, is recruiting a new member to join its team in Donoughmore.
The herd is expanding with a strong emphasis on maximising production from grazed grass, according to Bernard Foley.
The working hours for this position are from 7am to 6pm, with one-hour for breakfast and one-hour for lunch.
“Every second weekend off, but can be flexible to suit the candidate’s needs.” Foley added.
Key responsibilities include:
- Grassland management;
- Tractor work;
- Other day-to-day maintenance around the farm.
- Training will be given where necessary for any of the tasks.
“[An] energetic people-person with a can-do-attitude with a genuine willingness to learn beats any skill level. The role can be adjusted to suit level of experience.” Foley added.
Salary depends on experience. Single accommodation is available, if required.
The farm is situated 1km from a shop and post office, 15 minutes from Blarney and 25 minutes from Cork City.
