Roscommon Mart – cattle prices – 9-11-2021

According to Maura Quigley, Roscommon Mart’s show and sale of weanlings attracted a “big entry of excellent quality stock” on Tuesday, November 9^th, 2021.

She reported that trade was brisk for “quality” lots, while lesser-type weanlings were “a bit more difficult to sell”.

Bull prices averaged from €2.64-€6.27/kg for a Charolais-cross, weighing 360 kgs which fetched €2,260.

Weanling heifers made from an average of €2.74-€11.93 per kilo for a BBX weighing 295 kgs at €3,520.

“Buyers remain anxious for stock with a good number at the ringside in addition to customers buying online.”

Springer heifers went under the hammer from €1180 up to €1500.
