A bigger entry of cattle went under the hammer at Headford Mart on Saturday, March 6^th, according to a spokesperson.

• Bullocks ranged from €1.54 to €3.10 per kg or €260 to €910 over the kg. Top price over the kg – X2 Chx – 580kg – €1490 – €2.57/kg (lot 5). Top price per kg – a CHX – 290kg – €900 – €3.10/kg (lot 11B).
• Heifers climbed from €1.81 to €3.31 per kg or €345 to €1445 over the kg. Top price over kg and per kg 1 CHX – 625kg – €2070 – €3.31/kg (lot 24J).
• Weanling heifers went under the hammer from €2.00 to €3.32 per kg or €335 to €670 over the kg. Top price over the kg – a BAX – 400kg – €1070, €2.68/kg (lot 36). Top price per kg – A LMX – 220kg – €730 – €3.32/kg (lot 34X).
• Weanling bulls made from €1.27 to €3.24 per kg or €150 to €740 over the kg. Top price over the kg and per kg – a BAX – 330kg – €1070 – €3.24/kg. (Lot 42).
• Cull cows pushed from €670 to €1,980 for a 6-year-old CHX, 990kg.
• Stock bulls fetched from €1,150 to €1,810 for a 6-year-old LM bull, 1070kg.

Cattle prices on Saturday, February 27^th, 2021

• Bullocks ranged from €1.54 to €2.94 per kg or €252 to €960 over the kg;
• Heifers climbed from €1.73 to €3.25 per kg or €320 to €955 over the kg;
• Weanling heifers fetched from €1.85 to €3.12 per kg or €265 to €610 over the kg;
• Weanling bulls went under the hammer from €1.79 to €3.00 per kg or €335 to €630 over the kg;
• Cull cows pushed from €640 to €2,170;
• In-calf cowstraded from €1,050 to €2,000;
• Stock bulls moved from €1,420 to €2,500.

Sheep: 

• Ewes with lambs at foot ranged from €242 to €286 for one ewe and two lambs.
• Hoggets/lambs ranged from €90 to €160 or €1.15 to €3.22 per kg.

• 41kg – €132 – €3.22/kg;
• 50kg – €150 – €3.00/kg;
• 48kg – €142 – €2.96/kg;
