Aurivo Balla Mart has confirmed that the usual cattle sale with three rings in operation will go ahead this Saturday.
New health and safety procedures will be operational, a spokesperson has confirmed to That's Farming. Customers can only gain access to the chutes and overhead walkways; no cattle will be accepted after 12 noon as the gate will close at this period.Weanling bulls will no longer be sold through the Bullocks.
In a statement, Aurivo Balla Mart outlined; "Only mart staff will be allowed in the sales yard and new rules will apply in relation to customer access to the mart, as the health and safety of our customers and employees is of paramount importance."
Aurivo Ballinrobe and Aurivo Ballymote will also re-open this week, however; That's Farming understand that the fourth location, Mohill, will not open until a later date.
