400 spring lambs were on offer at Dowra Mart’s sheep sale on Friday (June 5th), according to a mart spokesperson.
They reported that “trade held well” for spring lambs, hoggets and cull ewes, while prices increased for ewes with lambs at foot.
Factory spring lambs earned €100-€127.50/head while store lambs fetched up to €105/head. €80-€122/head was paid for hoggets and cull ewes reached a top price of €120/head.
