A bigger sale of sheep was on offer but trade was reduced in comparison to previous weeks in Kilkenny Mart’s sheep sale on Monday (May 25th), according to George Candler.
The mart auctioneer reported that prices fell by €5-€10/head with lambs peaking at €133 while cull ewes reached €130.
In the dairy sale, freshly calved Friesian heifers peaked at €1660 while maiden heifers earned up to €705.
