There was a big sale of cull cows at Ennis Mart on Thursday, June 4th, according to a spokesperson.

180 cows and 130 heifers were auctioned off. A great trade for cows was reported with great interest from 3 bidders from Northern Ireland, according to the spokesperson.

There were mostly continental cows on offer and the spokesperson reported that there was some great stock available, both feeding and fleshed cows.

Heifers were also mostly continental with good store-types meeting a very firm trade.

Some “cracking forward heifers” were also met with an excellent trade.
