Dry cows sell from €700 to €1,730 at Ballinasloe

Bullocks ranged from €2.15-€2.91/kg, while heifers climbed from €2.21-€2.72/kg and cull cows sold from €700-€1,730 at Ballinasloe Mart on Wednesday (September 16th), according to a spokesperson.

Bullocks:

  • 1 CH – 735kg – €1,575 – €2.14/kg;
  • 1 LM – 770kg – €1,520 – €1.97/kg;
  • 1 LM – 725kg – €1,515 – €2.09/kg;
  • 1 LM – 330kg – €960 – €2.91/kg;
  • 1 LM – 412kg – €1,150 – €2.79/kg;
  • 1 CH – 440kg – €1,200 – €2.73/kg.

Heifers:

  • 1 LM – 600kg – €1,380 – €2.30/kg;
  • 1 CH – 610kg – €1,380 – €2.26/kg;
  • 1 CH – 575kg – €1,380 – €2.40/kg;
  • 1 LM – 360kg – €980 – €2.72/kg;
  • 1 LM – 390kg – €1,040 – €2.67/kg;
  • 1 CH – 335kg – €880 – €2.63/kg.

Averages:

  • Bullocks – €1,132 or €2.15/kg;
  • Heifers: – €1,042 or €2.21/kg;
  • Dry cows – €1,174.
