VIDEO: €7,400 for weanling heifer at Stranorlar Mart

A top call of €7,400 was recorded at the Elite Commercial Haltered Sale at Stranorlar Mart on Saturday, November 21st.

Sean Hughes, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan presented the January-2020-born Limousin-cross heifer for sale. The 365kg sale-topper with Cantona x Imperial breeding found a new home at €20.27/kg.

Second-highest price

Meanwhile, Martin Harold sold the highest-price animal at the sale.

At €7,300 was his 340kg entry, a Charolais-cross weanling heifer, out of a CF52 stockbull and a Limousin-cross dam. The heifer was snapped up for €21.47/kg – read more and see a video here.
