Up to 60mm of rain expected in 10 counties

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for ten counties.

The alert will come into effect in Mayo, Galway, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry, and Limerick at 12:01 am on Thursday morning (October 29th).

The warning will expire at 6 am on Friday. “Heavy and persistent rain overnight Wednesday through to Friday morning will lead to some flooding and disruption.”

“Accumulations of 30mm to 60mm are expected widely, with higher values in mountainous regions.”
