Plainer weanlings more difficult to sell at Rosommon Mart

A slightly smaller entry went under the hammer at Roscommon Mart’s weanling and suckler sale on Tuesday (October 27th).

Speaking following the sale, a mart spokesperson said: “Prices for quality lots were on par to the previous week while the plainer lots were more difficult to sell.”

Heifer weanlings ranged from an average of €2.44 per kilo up to a max of €3.57 per kilo. Bull weanlings fetched from €2.43 per kilo up to €3.87 per kilo.

“There was nearly a full clearance of the special entry of springers with prices ranging from €1800 up to €2, 280.”
