An old-thatched roof pub is set for public auction later this month.
The Piper’s Rest – located on the main street in Kilcar, Co. Donegal – has a guide price of €32,500.
Location
The property is “conveniently located” on the main street in Kilcar, Co. Donegal in the Wild Atlantic Way.
Kilcar or Cill Charthaigh is a Gaeltacht village on the R263 regional road in the south-west of the county, a busy tourist town, the seller notes.
It is also a townland of 233-acres and a civil parish in the historic barony of Banagh. Killybegs is 10km away and Donegal Town is 38km away.
‘Serious potential’
The Piper’s Rest has a large area to the rear which backs onto the Glenaddragh River.
According to the selling agent, the property requires “extensive refurbishment”, but has “serious potential”.
It is been sold as seen and is not subject to planning permission.
The public auction will take place at Wilson Auctions on Naas Road, Dublin on Wednesday, October 28th.
