Irish Limousin Cattle Society hiring CEO

Due to retirement, the Irish Limousin Cattle Society, Kilglass, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork, is hiring a CEO (Chief Executive Officer).

It invites applications from suitably qualified people with relevant management experience for the position.

They require an experienced leader in agribusiness/animal breeding industry with good business acumen and a proven track record.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities vary from maintaining the herd book and organising sales to breed development, to drive the growth in market share of the Limousin breed and to develop new markets both nationally and internationally.

The Irish Limousin Cattle Society require an energetic and enthusiastic person, prepared to work flexible hours to manage a strong team of office personnel to provide technical and commercial support to clubs and members.

Promoting and marketing the Limousin brand will be key objectives for the new CEO.

The successful appointee will play a key role in negotiations with government agencies and commercial organisations, liaise with other breed societies and all relevant scientific personnel.

He/she will bring energy, vision, and innovation to enhancing the range and provision of services to members.

Educational requirements

The successful candidate is likely to have good agri and third level qualifications and an excellent knowledge of pedigree cattle breeding.

If you have excellent people, communications, IT and marketing skills plus the motivation to succeed using your own initiative, this is an excellent career opportunity for you.
