Beef and forward store bullocks and heifers in short supply at Kilkenny Mart

Just over 700 entries went under the hammer at Kilkenny Mart on Thursday (December 17^th), according to George Candler.

The mart’s auctioneer reported a “steady trade all-around” for both bullocks and heifers.

“Beef and forward store bullocks and heifers were in short supply. Numbers are staying big for the time of year with 30% on offer sold online.”

“A special suckler saw in-calf cows due in January/February ranging from €1,150-€1,620/head.”
