Agriculture Minister McConalogue tests positive for Covid-19

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Donegal TD received his test result this morning (Wednesday, December 23rd).

It is understood that the minister is displaying no symptoms. According to a spokesperson for the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the minister is “self-isolating with all public health guidelines and will continue to do so”.

All cabinet ministers are restricting their movements while awaiting test results as McConalogue attended the meeting of ministers yesterday.

According to sources, results are expected later tonight.
