£4,400 recorded on two occasions at Leading Ladies sale

The headline price of £4,400 was paid on two occasions at Will & Gareth Corrie’s Leading Ladies sale earlier this month.

90 “exceptional” in-calf commercial heifers went under the hammer at Ballymena Mart on Wednesday, November 4th.

The top call was recorded twice for “tremendous” black Limousin-bred heifers, chased closely by another at £4,000. These were all snapped up by Gary Bell, Lockerbie.

There was “huge” pre-sale interest in the recent sale of commercial in-calf heifers.

The sale ring at Ballymena Mart welcomed buyers from right across the province, with many more choosing to bid online from the comfort of their own home.

Local and repeat buyers were also determined to purchased stock, on what was hailed as the best offering from the Corrie duo to date. This resulted in an average of £2,463 for a 100% clearance.

Will & Gareth Corrie would like to thank all who purchased or bid for stock at their sale, and to all those who assisted in any way in the run-up to their annual event. Plans are already in place for next year’s event!
