Woman (21) dies in quad bike accident

A 21-year-old woman has died in a quad bike accident.

The incident occurred on a dairy farm in Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021.

According to reports, another farmworker found the woman, who fell off a quad bike.

Emergency services attended the scene of the farm; the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were made aware of a 21-year-old injured after coming off a quad bike on a farm near Castle Douglas shortly after 11.15am on Wednesday, September 22nd.”

“Emergency services attended, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.”

The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) is also investigating the incident.

Male (21) killed in tractor accident

tractor accident has claimed the life of a 21-year-old male in Northern Ireland.

The accident occurred on the Gobbins Roads near Islandmagee, Co Antrim, just after midday on September 15th, 2021.

Police Service of Northern Ireland, the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, NI Air Ambulance and Northern Ireland Ambulance (NIAS) attended the scene of the incident, where the male passed away.

In a statement, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Police attended a report of a sudden death of a man in his 20s, in the Gobbins Road area of Islandmagee, shortly before 12.25 pm today, Wednesday, September 15th.”

“Police have advised the Health and Safety Executive and will provide assistance with their investigation.”

Driver hospitalised after tractor overturns in Dublin

Meanwhile, a tractor driver was hospitalised in recent days after the agricultural vehicle overturned.

Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene of the incident on Friday, September 17th, 2021.

In a statement on social on Saturday, September 18th, a spokesperson for the Dublin Fire Brigade said:

“Yesterday, firefighters from Balbriggan responded to an overturned tractor in the North County.”

“Using specialised road collision equipment from one of our Emergency Rescue Tenders, the patient was successfully extricated, treated and transported to hospital.”
