Woman (30s) arrested on suspicion of killing in-lamb ewe

A woman being arrested in connection with the killing of a sheep near Gravesend in the UK.

An in-lamb ewe was found on farmland in a field off Betsham Road, Southfleet, at around 7am on Sunda (March 29th).

A lamb was also reported to have been stolen from the same field on Friday 27 March.

‘Killed deliberately’ 

In a statement, a spokesperson for Kent Police, said: “The injuries sustained by the ewe led officers to believe that the animal had been killed deliberately.”

At around midnight on April 6th, officers arrested a woman in her 30s in Bean Lane, Greenhithe, on suspicion of motoring offences and offences relating to the ewe.

The woman has been released pending further enquiries, according to the spokesperson.
