Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind warning for five counties.
The alert, which is valid for Clare, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, and Sligo, will come into effect at 7pm this evening (Friday, January 31st) and will remain in place until 12pm tomorrow (Saturday, February 1st).
“Southwest winds, veering westerly, will reach mean speeds of 50-65km/h, with gusts up to 100km/h on Friday evening, Friday night and for a time on Saturday.” the national forecaster explained.
