Post-Auction Report: A chalet and stable yard in Co Wicklow with three buildings on circa 19-acres sold for over 68% of its guide price when it went for auction this week.

J P & M Doyle handled the sale of the property at Tornant, Dunlavin, Co Wicklow, which changed hands for €420,000.

According to the auctioneering firm, a total of five bidders were active at the auction which took place at Lawlor’s Hotel, Naas, Co Kildare at 3pm on Thursday, July 14th, 2022.

Ahead of the auction, the estate agent described this as an “outstanding opportunity” to acquire the property.

It contains a courtyard – which was constructed in 1994 – with four stables, a tack room, a kitchen, a five-bay hay shed, a five-bay lean-to, a large, open storage shed and purpose-built dog kennels.

Furthermore, there is a chalet consisting of a hall, a living room, a bathroom/shower room, and a bedroom.

Meanwhile, the lands, laid out in two paddocks, are of “top quality” and are partly stud railed. Besides, there is also a larger field with “good” road frontage.

The property is just 10kms from Kilcullen, 18kms from Naas and around 30km from Newlands Cross.
