Weather: Dry week in store with highs of 16°C

Weather forecast from Met Éireann for Monday, April 19th, 2021:

According to Met Éireann, it will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain, most persistent and frequent in western coastal counties today (Monday).

Further east, rain and drizzle are expected, with some parts of the north-east to hold dry. Temperatures will reach between 9 to 12 degrees, with night-time lows of 4 to 8 degrees.

It will be generally cloudy tonight with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most persistent over western counties. Rain will gradually become lighter with some hill and coastal mist and fog to form.

Tuesday, April 20th, 2021:

Generally cloudy to begin with lingering patches of rain and drizzle, which will ease through the day as cloud gradually breaks up. Sunny spells are set to develop later on with highs of 9 to 12 degrees.

According to the national forecaster, any lingering rain and drizzle will die out early, giving rise to a largely dry night.

Cloud will gradually break up overnight, too, with clear spells and lows of 1 to 3 degrees. Temperatures will be lowest in the north, with values of 3 to 5 degrees further south.

Wednesday, April 21st, 2021:  

It will be a largely dry with widespread sunny spells and highs of 9 to 12 degrees, with higher values of 13 to 15 degrees in Munster.

It will continue dry and largely clear on Wednesday night with lowest temperatures of 2 to 5 degrees. However, it will be colder over Ulster and Connacht, with grass frost leading to lows of 0 to 3 degrees.

Thursday, April 22nd, 2021:

It will be generally dry and bright with sunny spells and highs of 11 to 15 degrees. The national forecaster has warned of a possibility of an isolated shower in the afternoon.

It will remain dry on Thursday night with long clear spells overnight and lows of 3 to 6 degrees. Once again, it will be generally colder over Ulster with lows of 1 to 3 degrees, bringing a touch of grass frost.

Weather April 2021: Weekend

Again, another dry and sunny days with highs of 11 to 16 degrees. It will be mildest over the midlands and Connacht and coolest along the east and south coasts.

According to Met Éireann, current indications suggest that dry and sunny conditions will prevail into the weekend, as high pressure “maintains its dominance” over Ireland’s weather.
