Some 650 lots were presented for sale at Castlerea Mart on Thursday (March 19th), according to Brendan Egan.
The mart manager noted that the vast majority of lots were sold on the day with restrictions in place due to Covid-19.
“Heifers reported no change in prices or trade from last week. In the weanling rings, buyers were more selective with a variance in price between the quality lots and the plainer-types.”
“Breeding stock reported a very good trade while the dry cows and suck calves reported good clearances also,” Egan added.
