VIDEO: John Deere restart production

John Deere have recently released a video in which their European leaders discuss the current situation within the company and how they are dealing with the current pandemic.

Filmed in their factory in Manheim, Global Director, Dr. Volkel Knickel, reveals that production has restarted, having previously being halted by both safety issues and parts supply issues.

He says that the stoppage in production allowed them time to create a strategy to protect their staff from the coronavirus and they now have a ‘corona robust manufacturing environment’.

Inventory and distribution

The Director of Parts Operations then explains that their global network has enough inventory to ensure parts availability and through their flexible logistics network they can continue to deliver to serve every country in the region.
