Over 1,200 lots were presented for sale at Ennis Mart on Tuesday (October 13th), according to a spokesperson.
They noted that trade for quality lots “held well,” while lighter and plainer-types were easier in all rings.
The spokesperson for Ennis Mart said: “There were quite a few in the lighter bracket today as there seems to be a bit of panic selling going on presently.”
“There were 20 calves available and these were a strong trade.”
Runner heifers climbed to €770, while runner bulls made to €890 and in-calf suckler stock peaked at €1,780. “Top quality lots in the weanlings still hitting over €3/kg.” the spokesperson concluded.
