VIDEO: 400 pedigree Angus heifers destined for Russia

400 pedigree Irish Angus heifers have embarked on their journey to Russia.

A video of a number of livestock trucks, transporting the animals, was posted on social media by David Clarke Livestock earlier today (Friday, July 31st).

The consignment was compiled by JH Livestock Exports LTD, who has secured a contract for 1,000 pedigree-registered Angus heifers, in the 250-350kg weight bracket.

The animals, which were required to have a corresponding pedigree certificate, underwent a 21-day quarantine period.

That’s Farming understands that between €800-€900/head was offered for suitable animals for this shipment.
