Gardaí stopped a vehicle towing a horsebox trailer for a speeding offence in Co. Kildare earlier this week.
Naas Roads Policing Unit detected that the motorist was travelling at 110km/hr, while the maximum legal speed for a vehicle towing a trailer is 80km/hr.
If the speed limit displayed is lower, then motorists must obey this.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that a fixed charge penalty notice was issued.
