Tullamore Show returns to Butterfield Estate in August 2023

Tullamore Show returns to Butterfield Estate on Sunday, August 13th, 2023, with over 1,000 classes, a prize fund of €175,000 and a range of highly sought-after gold and silver medals for livestock competitors.

The Tullamore Show and FBD National Livestock Show will showcase classes in dairy, pedigree, commercial and sheep.

Ireland’s premier show’s pedigree section will play host to the national show for Simmental, Charolais, Limousin and Hereford, with over 12 breeds of pedigree cattle set to compete for the ever-sought-after gold and silver medals.

The commercial cattle section will see the first-of-its-kind commercial Blonde d’Aquitaine-sired calf extravaganza, with a prize fund of €2,000.

Meanwhile, the sheep programme will be expanding this year with the introduction of the Lanark sheep breed All-Ireland classes.

The show’s programme also offers competitions in equine, cookery, poultry, art, inventions and many more.

The show’s launch took place at the Butterfield Estate, with show personnel, representatives of FBD and Avril and William R Gubbins, who are no strangers to the showing ring at Tullamore Show with their commercial and pedigree stock, which they farm under the name of the Cush Herd in Co. Limerick.
