‘Sizzling hot trade’ in Tuam with prices to €2,460

Tuam Mart – Cattle Prices – 05-06-2023

A “sizzling hot trade” prevailed at Tuam Mart’s bank holiday cattle sale on Monday, June 5th, 2023, according to Marion Devane.

The mart manager reported that cull cows maxed out at €2,460, while suckler pairs followed at €2,420, bullocks sold to €2,400, heifers topped at €2,160, and weanlings hit €1,260.

  • 3 LMX 385 kg by a Cummer farmer made €1410 (€3.66/kg);
  • 360 kg LM by a Dunmore farmer made €1300 (€3.61/kg);
  • 3 CHX 418 kg by a Cummer farmer made €1500 (€3.59/kg);
  • 465 kg LMX by a Abbeyknockmoy farmer made €1640 (€3.53/kg);
  • 520 kg LMX by a Kilkerrin farmer made €1690 (€3.25/kg);
  • 535 kg CHX by a Corrandulla farmer made €1680 (€3.14/kg);
  • 560 kg LMX by a Kilkerrin farmer made €1730 (€3.09/kg);
  • A pair 592 kg  CHX by a Clonberne farmer made €1750 (€2.96/kg);
