Premium prices of up to €2,280 for cattle in Tuam

Tuam Mart – cattle prices – 21-02-2022

According to Marion Devane, buyers forked out premium prices at Tuam Mart’s cattle sale on Monday, February 21st, 2022.

She reported that cull cows reached €2,280, while suckler pairs made up to €1,900, heifers hit €1,930, and bullocks topped out at €1,920.

Meanwhile, in the weanling rings, bulls reached €780 and heifers climbed to €1,090.

  • 420 kg AAX by a Brownsgrove farmer made €1000 (€2.38/kg);

  • 465 kg CHX by a Dunmore farmer made €1240 (€2.67/kg);
  • 565 kg CHX by a Dunmore farmer made €1540 (€2.73/kg);
