VIDEO: Mone releases Tractor for Sale

Popular singer-songwriter, trucker and agricultural contractor, Marty Mone, has released his latest self-penned single, Tractor for Sale.

Mone describes his new release as a “fast-paced alternative country-rock song telling a true story” of his creative process and “some old-school tractor driving in Ireland, which many fans across the nation and further afield will strongly relate to”.

The Monaghan native released Tractor for Sale’s official music video yesterday (Monday, March 15th, 2021), and the song available to download from all platform.

He is renowned for his singer-songwriter skills, telling stories direct from personal experience.

It has been six years since Marty shot to fame back in 2015, and the fans have been calling out for another tractor song ever since.

Marty finally had some downtime at home due to Covid, so he decided to purchase a small tractor to do some work around the yard and studio and suddenly, Tractor For Sale, was born.

Mone’s rise to fame

That’s Farming interviewed the Hit the Diff singer in recent months to discuss his musical journey and career progression.

”I started playing lead guitar as a neighbour beside me was playing lead guitar in a band. At 15-years-old, I was nearly driving full-time and playing with bands at the weekends.” he told That’s Farming.

“I remember seeing a Big Tom DVD and saying I am going to do that when I am older, not thinking that this was going to happen.”

“I would take up a guitar, he would play a few chords, I would sing a couple of songs. Big Tom would give me advice. Big Tom was on a music break by the time I was up and going; he made a comeback in later years.”

Mone exploded onto the music scene in 2015 with his single, Hit the Diff and since then, he has released other tracks including, Better than a Dream, Slip the Clutch and The Day the World Shut Down.

In that short space of time, he has racked up over 30,000,000 YouTube views, 222,000 followers and subscribers and 32,000,000 music streams.

He has released two albums containing twenty-three original songs and has toured Ireland, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
