Tipperary Beef Plan elects new committee

A “monumental” occasion was reached in Holycross, Co. Tipperary, last night (Friday, January 10th) where a new Tipperary Beef Plan committee was elected, at their annual general meeting, a source has informed this publication.

The meeting, the source outlined, went ahead with the “strict rule of Tipperary Beef Plan members only”.

“The committee stated that Tipperary Beef Plan has no interest in national divisions or point scoring but wanted to get their region back to the main business of beef plan and are operating within the rules of governance of the organisation.”

Newly elected chairman, Joe Trehy, said: ‘’In times of instability we must resort to when all was calm, in this scenario, all the rules of Beef Plan were passed by all members and they clearly state AGMs be completed by January 15th.”

”At Tipperary Beef Plan, we have absolutely no time for egos or personal agendas and just want to represent our members in the best and fairest way possible.’’

The source said they understand that outgoing vice-chair Catherine Guest was invited to enter St.Micheal’s Hall for the A.G.M but declined when other non-members of Tipperary were refused entry.

‘’Catherine Guest was approached by several members and our local sergeant John McCormack to enter the meeting but adamantly declined.’’ Joe said.

Tipperary Beef Plan, the spokesperson added, is now adamant in powering on and being a guiding light in the turbulent times of Beef Plan.
