Thieves stole contents from vet’s jeep who was attending cow in field

Gardaí in Newport and Roxborough Garda stations, investigating the theft of contents from a vet’s jeep, have recovered most of the equipment stolen.

The items were taken whilst a member of Mulcair Vets was attending a cow in the Newport, Co. Tipperary vicinity on Thursday (October 15th).

Ultrasound scanner and C-section kit

In a post on social media, Mulcair Vets, said: “One of our vets, John, parked his jeep across the road from the church, in Newport, close to the graveyard.”

“He was attending to a cow in the field close by. His jeep was broken into and his ultrasound scanner and his Caesarean kit were stolen.”

“These pieces of equipment are essential for John in his veterinary work and are of no use to anyone other than vets.”

“Therefore, they may be randomly disposed of around the town of Newport. If anyone sees them or has any other information, please contact the Garda station in Newport.”
