An Garda Síochána have confirmed that a teenager has been arrested in connection with the theft of 22 ewes.
He remains in custody at Granard Garda station. The animals were taken in the Kileen, Granard area of the county between Wednesday night (February 19th) and the early hours of Thursday morning (February 20th), as reported by us here.
“The ewes are a mixture of Suffolk and Mule-crosses. They are 2-3-year-olds and one is a purebred Texel scanned with one lamb.” the farmer explained.
