12ac plot of land guiding at €15,000/ac ahead of auction

Jordan Auctioneers have just launched a 12.55-acre parcel of land to the market for sale in South Kildare.

The property – Garterfarm, Castledermot, Co. Kildare – is for sale by public auction on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022, at 3 pm in the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, with a guide price of €15,000/acre.

The property is circa 1km outside Castledermot, on the R418 towards Kilkea (4.5km), and it is a “central” location close to a range of towns, including Carlow (13km), Athy (13km) and is less than 5km from the M9 Motorway (Junction 4).

According to a spokesperson for the firm, the property is generally surrounded by agricultural land and some rural housing, and the iconic Old Yard café is almost directly opposite the land.

Commenting on the listing, they said:

“The entire comprises top-quality land, currently in stubble but ideal for any number of uses. There are lovely natural hedgerows and mature trees on all boundaries.”

“The land is slightly elevated, giving lovely views in all directions. The entire would make an ideal site for a residence subject to obtaining the necessary planning permission.”
