Trade has held up well this week at Castlerea Mart, despite inclement weather conditions, according to Brendan Egan.
The mart manager reported that the bullock trade had a good attendance of buyers present.
Some plainer lots were slightly easier, but quality stores remained a good trade, he said.
“In the heifer ring, trade was maintained and, in some cases, improved upon with better quality lots on offer this week.”
“Runners and weanlings were a very lively trade as farmers were out in force trying to source stock while the breeding stock and dry cows reported a good clearance,” Egan added.
