Agent seeking over €8,500/ac for ‘extensive’ Sligo farm

An “extensive” Sligo farm, extending to 26.84ac in total, has just hit the property market.

Henry Auctioneers is seeking in the region of €8,569/acre for the land in Carrickbanagher, Drumfin, which the firm is offering up for sale in up to two lots.

According to the firm, the land is currently heavy soil, and “well-maintained” grass.

  • Lot 1: Circa 19.54=acres (7.91 hectares). According to the agent, lands all in grass in “well-sized” divisions and are “ideal” for any number of farming enterprises;
  • Lot 2: Circa 7.3-acres (2.96 hectares) with adjoining sheds, some of which require repair. Again, the agent suggested that lands are “ideal” for a number of farming enterprises and are all in “well-sized” grass divisions.

According to the agent, the farm is in a “great” location, close to a range of towns.

These include Collooney (9.1km), Sligo (18.3km), the N4 Motorway, and the N17 is less than a 10-minute drive.

In total, the firm is guiding the Sligo farm at €230,000 for the entire.

Detached home, outbuildings and 17ac in Mayo

Meanwhile, APP Kirrane Auctioneering is seeking €90,000 for a detached house with outbuildings, and 17.91-acres in Kilkelly, Co Mayo.

The property firm has described this as a “splendid property that requires some love and attention to transform into a fantastic home”.

The property has the added advantage of additional outbuildings and the option to purchase 7 hectares of additional land.

Furthermore, the property firm confirmed that this can be sold as a stand-alone home with outbuildings on a 0.2-hectare site or as one lot offering 7.25 hectares (17.91ac) in total.

The agent explained: “The land fronts onto the N83 fantastic access and road frontage for the development of a warehouse, detached dwelling or space for a horse, hobby farm or vegetable plot.”

Furthermore, the property is just off the N83 and close to Ireland West Airport, Kilkelly, Ballyhaunis, Knock and Claremorris.
