Over 300 weanlings turned out for Kilfenora’s bank holiday Monday sale on October 26th, according to a spokesperson.
They said: “The sale went well despite being totally online. Heifers proved a great trade, especially quality lots.”
“Likewise, quality bulls were a smashing trade. Average prices were up €40/hd on this day 12 months and quality was not as good as 12 months ago.”
“Most of the top-quality weanlings are already sold and shipping activity is very quiet presently.” the spokesperson added.
Weanling bulls:
- 1 LMX – 325Kg – €1,030 – €3.17/kg;
- 1 LMX – 320kgs – €800 – €2.50/kg;
- 1 CHX – 340Kg – €990 – €2.91/kg;
- 2 BAX – 310kgs – €870 – €2.81/kg;
- 1 LM – 350kg – €1,080 – €3.08/kg;
- 3 CHX – 353kgs – €970 – €2.74/kg.
Weanling heifers:
- 1 CHX – 265kgs – €930 – €3.51/kg;
- 1 LMX – 350Kg – €840 – €2.40/kg;
- 1 CHX – 260Kg – €820 – €3.15/kg;
- 1 CHX – 300kgs – €820 – €2.73/kg.
