Martin McLaughlin of the Cashel View flock has bred male and female champions and had the overall and reserve at the Irish premier sale in 2021. He has fine-tuned his prize-winning flock using all imported UK genetics.

Dutch Spotted

Kevin McDermott (McDermott’s Flock) bred the top-priced male at the Irish premier sale and claims to hold the current breed record for a Dutch Spotted male.

He will offer one maternal ET sister for sale from Diamond Electro, which he purchased at 12-weeks-old at the SpringTime Sparklers sale for £5,000.

He told That’s Farming that this was a breed record in the UK at the time, but it has since been broken.

Suffolk

Ryan Greene of the Larahirl flock and Shaun Monagle of Tullyflock, who recently have purchased “some of the best female lines” in the UK & Ireland, will offer Suffolk entries for sale.

Beltex and Badger Face Texel

Ardstewart Beltex & Badger Face Texels, property of Alison Mc Crabbe, who has bred numerous sales toppers in Carlisle, will also put sheep under the hammer.

Meanwhile, Jack O’ Brien of Aileach View Beltex, who has “bought some of the best lines” from Matt Burleigh’s flock, is the sale’s sixth consigner.

The final Beltex breeder is Declan Robinson of the Sheephaven flock. Declan has had success nationwide, including notching up top prices at Beltex premier sales, as That’s Farming has previously reported.

Valais Blacknose

Francis Cavanagh will offer “some of the world’s cutest sheep” for sale (all imported bloodlines) from his Wild Atlantic Valais.

Texel

Paul Mallon, who has imported top bloodlines from the UK and is “one of the top-performing flocks” in the breed, is the sale’s final seller.
