Last week’s cattle prices

The mart’s auctioneer reported that trade was similar to the previous week for quality lots.

He commented: “Not as many active customers were present at Thursday’s sale, which perhaps was because a lot are busy at home or not as anxious to secure animals due to factory policy restricting numbers.”

“On the cattle front, there has been some easing of cattle prices, especially plainer types.”

“It was also noticeable on Thursday that beef types were in short supply, which would indicate that beef types are getting scarce,” he added.
