Roscommon Mart – Cattle Prices – 27-01-2023
Dry cows soared to €2,820, while heifers topped out at €2,450, and bullocks made up to €3,000 at Roscommon Mart’s general cattle sale on Friday, 27th, 2023.
That is according to a spokesperson who reported that a large entry of stock came under the hammer at Friday’s sale, which saw a “strong” trade prevail for all classes.
Bullocks averaged from €2.82 per kilo up to €3.49 per kilo, while heifers fetched from an average of €2.96 per kilo up to €3.42 per kilo and dry cows sold from an average of €2.48 per kilo up to €3.15 per kilo.
They reported that there was a good attendance of customers at the ringside, with online bidders also “active”.
